Where It Started…  Abby

i can’t recall the story exactly, but i remember summer 2025 i had a 90’s alternative playlist on shuffle and low and behold, common people came on. i heard that first verse and was creeped out by it and i just wasn’t a fan of how long the song was, but was still a tad interested so i added it to my playlist anyway. i remember reading their spotify bio as i listened to the sing for the first time, and i thought “this little old guy sings it?” fast forward to october and i’m driving on my way to class and the song comes on shuffle again and i decided to give it a second chance. this time i fell in love. after class, i rushed home and had to give the whole discography a listen.

i’m forever so grateful i gave common people another chance. this band has allowed me to connect with some of my now best friends, and would distract me from the rough patches in my life. i’m autistic as well, so naturally, pulp has become a major hyperfixation for me and brings me so much joy. i have different class and more on cd, tons of homemade prints, pins, and cardboard cutouts! my collection continues to grow, as well as my love for this band.
